 Understanding Crime and Punishment in Modern Society Crime is a serious problem that affects individuals, families, and communities. Punishment is a way to maintain social order, protect citizens, and discourage illegal behavior. However, punishment should be fair, proportional, and respect human rights. For this activity, I studied how crime and punishment work in different legal systems. I learned that some countries focus more on punishment, while others invest in rehabilitation programs to help offenders change their lives. I believe a balanced approach is the best solution: justice for victims, but also opportunities for offenders to reintegrate into society. In my opinion, education, employment opportunities, and social support can help reduce crime in the long term. Punishment alone is not enough; prevention and rehabilitation are equally important.

 Developing Critical Thinking and Media Literacy Skills In today’s world, we receive information from many sources: television, social media, newspapers, and websites. Not all of this information is true or reliable. Critical thinking is the ability to analyze, evaluate, and question information before accepting it as the truth. Media literacy is the skill of understanding how media messages are created, who creates them, and for what purpose. For this activity, I reflected on the importance of these skills in my personal and professional life. In my work, I often receive information from different people and sources. I must evaluate its accuracy before making decisions. In my academic life, I use critical thinking when researching, selecting trustworthy references, and avoiding plagiarism. This large rock is located in Murindó, Antioquia, Colombia, and it is surrounded by beautiful nature. La Piedra de la Lugarda is an impressive natural formation with a unique shape and a mysterious history. Around the rock, you can find rivers, green vegetation, and wildlife. The place is peaceful and perfect for visitors who enjoy nature and adventure. In my presentation, I described its location, its physical characteristics, and the feelings it transmits, such as peace and curiosity. I chose this place because it is part of our cultural and natural heritage, and I believe it should be more recognized as a tourist destination.

 My Personal Learning Environment (PLE) for Learning English For this activity, I created a mind map to represent my Personal Learning Environment (PLE). It includes the tools, strategies, and resources I use to improve my English skills and apply them in my work environment. Some elements in my PLE are online platforms, mobile applications, reading materials, videos, and communication with native speakers. This mind map helped me reflect on my learning process and how technology supports my language development.

In the audio, I talk about what I have to do, what I must do, and what I should do in both areas. For example, I mention my responsibility to help my community in my job, and my obligation to study and complete assignments on time in my academic life. This task helped me practice using modal verbs such as 'have to', 'must', and 'should' in real-life situations.

I wrote a chronicle highlighting the most important events and situations in their career. The chronicle covers their early life, main challenges, great achievements, and the impact they have had in their field. This work allowed me to practice past tense structures and enrich my vocabulary about professional careers and achievements.

 My Virtual Job Interview Practice In this activity, I participated in a virtual job interview simulation for a position related to my professional profile. With the help of a classmate, I played both roles: the applicant and the interviewer. During the interview, I answered questions such as: Tell us about yourself. What motivates you? What are your hobbies? What are your future plans if you get this job? What are your career goals? What do you see as a major success in your life? Why did you leave your last job? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? This activity helped me improve my fluency, practice professional vocabulary, and gain confidence in speaking English during a job interview.
